What is CrossFit?

First off, what is CrossFit?  I think the two videos below sum it up better than we possibly could:

So, it looks like CrossFit is right for you and you’re ready to commit to changing your life. Now what do you do? We’ll it’s pretty easy :)

If you have never done CrossFit before, you are required to take the Elements class first.  There are several reasons for this, but the main on is safety.  CrossFit is done at a high intensity and involves a large number of complex movements.  Most people, regardless of their background, have never done the movements that we program.  If they have performed them, then it’s very unlikely that they were performed up to our standards.

In the Elements class, you will learn to perform all of the major movements in the proper way.  The class starts with the more basic movements and then progresses towards the more complex lifts.  By the end of the Elements class, you will understand what is required to perform each element.  As trainers, we will have a good understanding of your physical capabilities.  This will help us to ensure that you don’t start out at too hard of a difficulty level.  We want you to be successful, but you can’t be successful if you’re injured!

After the Elements class has been completed, you’ll be free to select a regular CrossFit class to attend.  The schedule and pricing are listed here.  There are no contracts at CrossFit Quest.  If you start out at 3 days per week and want to move to unlimited, that’s fine.  If unlimited classes are too much, feel free to drop down.  Our only request is that you make these adjustments only once a month.
